Lab coordinator position in child clinical @ UMass Amherst
Dr. Adam Grabell is seeking a full-time coordinator for the Self-Regulation, Emotions, and Early Development (SEED) lab at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. The coordinator will assist in running an NIMH K23 grant investigating neural mechanisms of emotion regulation and emerging psychopathology in early childhood. Responsibilities include collecting functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS), galvanic skin response data on preschool children with and without psychopathology, participant recruitment and scheduling, IRB management, and overseeing a team of undergraduate assistants. The coordinator will also have the opportunity to participate in conference presentations and manuscript preparation. The position is ideal for anyone looking to pursue a PhD in child clinical psychology, developmental psychology, neuroscience, or medical school. A two year commitment is requested. A minimum of one year experience in a research lab is required. A bachelor’s degree in psychology, neuroscience, or a related field is preferred. Candidates with experience working with young children are strongly encouraged to apply.
