Seeking Project Coordinator I for the Dept. of Anesthesiology/Critical Care Medicine Research. Coordinator will assist faculty and staff in designing and implementing research projects.  Conduct a wide variety of non-routine and/or complicated laboratory procedures, and oversee multiple projects at different locations, that include studies in clinical trial/interventional research in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit; and other clinical research focusing on health outcomes of children following critical illness.
Such research includes:
• Pediatric Acute Lung Disease
• Sepsis
• Delirium
• Posttraumatic Stress Disorder
• Acute and Chronic Pain
• Virtual Reality

Duties & Responsibilities (In order of importance)

Plans, coordinates and monitors data collection activities of multiple projects to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished in accordance with prescribed guidelines, time limitations and funding conditions. Participate is data collection by administering psychological assessment tools and neurocognitive testing. Projects include PI initiated retrospective and prospective studies and sponsored clinical trials. Responsible for creating research study spread sheets and the overall integrity and accuracy of data.  

Coordinates with research team to consent families to participate in research, assist families in the completion of the research protocols.  Maintenance of office files.  Provide basic analysis of clinical data using SPSS.  Maintain research protocols and procedures (e.g., IRB). Writing for professional presentations, manuscripts, and grant writing

For selected projects, serves as the liaison with internal and external entities, including the study sponsor, clinical research organization, IRB, clinical laboratory, PICU staff, outpatient pain clinic, ORAA, and hospital staff.

Coordinates the administrative aspects for grant implementation, including but not limited to correspondence, meeting minutes, reports and memo, and office supplies.

Assists with purchase requests, and storage and shipment of study materials.
Demonstrate behaviors in concert with hospital mission, values, policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as requested.
