Evidence-Based Practice Institute (EBPI) is a healthcare start-up company in Seattle, WA that seeks to facilitate the dissemination of evidence-based behavioral therapies through the use of innovative technologies. We are a group of smart, fun, successful people who want to make a difference in the care and treatment of people with mental health problems. EBPI is led by Drs. Kelly Koerner and Linda Dimeff, both internationally recognized experts in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and in the use of innovative technologies to disseminate evidence-based behavioral therapies to real-world environments. Job Description
We are seeking a smart, ambitious, highly motivated, tech-savvy, efficient problem-solver, and highly personable recent graduate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of skills including experience conducting research with human subjects, being outgoing and comfortable interacting with new people, the ability to keep track of small details while retaining a big picture perspective, a strong capability to work independently, and ability to project manage. This person has an interest in interdisciplinary work and enjoys learning new skillsets. This is a fantastic opportunity for anybody considering graduate study in clinical psychology, public health, medicine, user testing and design, or a related field. To date, former Research Assistants have had a 100% success rate of entry into their top tier graduate programs. Because a central responsibilitywill involve care and oversight of our research participants, users, and customers, we are particularly interested in individuals with a natural talent in forming strong professional relationships based on genuine regard, warmth, and competence.

Responsibilities will include:
• Conducting literature searches and extracting key content
• Establishing and maintainingstrong relationships with new and existing clinician and patient research participants, app testers, and customers
• Recruiting and running research participants
• Developing study materialsand protocols
• Creating and maintaining databases
• Assisting with grant-writing activities
• Possible airplane travel

Essential Qualifications
• Friendly, personable, and approachable
• Excellent communication skills, in person, writing, and via email
• Highly detail oriented, organized and thorough
• Comfortable making phone calls
• Tech savvy; not intimidated by learning new technology
• Active problem-solver and independent worker
• Effective in an unstructured environment; a self-starter who doesn’t require supervision and oversight
• Able to juggle many balls (metaphorically, of course) at one time
• Enthusiastic team-member who thrives in tight-knit environment
• Research experience

Desired Qualifications
• IT/Technical service experience, including user testing and bug reporting
• Broad range of skills•Drive to tackle any challenge
• Background, or interest, in health or mental health

Candidates will have the opportunity to work in a fast paced environment with a small team of experienced researchers and graduate-school bound young professionals while collaborating with leading researchers and treatment developersfrom around the country. Candidate will learn about evidence-based practices and harnessing technology to advance training of mental health clinicians and to improve client outcomes within the context of several National Institute of Mental Health grants. The majorityof our work is done remotely, but candidateis required to live in or relocate to the Greater Seattle Area. Starting salary is $33,000. Position is full time.
