Research Assistant Positions in Psychosocial Research Lab at Butler Hospital/Brown University
The Psychosocial Research Program at Butler Hospital is looking to hire 2-3 full-time research assistants to work on projects related to suicide assessment in a psychiatric inpatient setting. In particular, we are hiring for projects focused on identification of novel risk factors for suicidal ideation and behavior using computers, laboratory-based behavioral and physiological assessments, smartphone technology, and the analysis of speech patterns (Directors: Michael Armey, Ph.D., Heather Schatten, Ph.D., & Ivan Miller, Ph.D.; Collaborators: Gary Epstein-Lubow, M.D) as well as treatment development studies for suicide (Director: Ivan Miller, Ph.D.). Positions will start from July – September 2016. The Psychosocial Research Program, located in Providence, RI, is affiliated with Brown University Medical School.
These studies are funded by the National Institutes for Health. Responsibilities include recruiting subjects and conducting research assessments with psychiatric inpatients.
These are full-time positions with benefits. Some evening and/or weekend hours may be required.
Required: BA in psychology or related field required.
Experience with psychology research and/or working with psychiatric patients desirable.
